The
Cayman Islands are located
in the western Caribbean
Sea. These islands are
the summits of the huge
sub-peak which is more
popularly known as the
Cayman Trench. This
amounts to a height
of 8000 feet above the
surface of the ocean
floor. The islands are
located on the south
side of Cuba and west
of Jamaica. But even
Grand Cayman, which
is the largest island
of the three, can 't
be clearly delineated
on most maps. They are
asked almost 770 km
on the southern part
of Miami, l240 km on
the south side of Cuba
and 290 km on the north-west
of Jamaica. There are

Grand
Cayman is the largest
island in the region
extending from an area
of 197 square kilometres.
The Cayman Islands consists
of two sister islands
, namely Cayman Brac
and Little Cayman, which
are located around 145
km east of Grand Cayman.
All these three islands
was created when large
coral heads were covered
by the ice peaks Cuban
Sierra Maestra range.
It is mainly flat. The
Bluff on Cayman Brac,
with a height of 140
feet above sea level,
is the highest place
on the island.
